Most Precious Blood feast of title
Wednesday 2nd July 2014

A large crowd gathered at The Most Precious Blood Church, London Bridge, London - which is in the care of the Ordinariate - on Tuesday 1 July to celebrate the church's patronal feast  in style, with a sung Mass, followed by a barbeque and other refreshments.

The guest preacher was  Father Paul Richardson, a former Anglican diocesan bishop and president of Pusey House, the Anglo Catholic chapel in Oxford. Anglican and Catholic guests joined the regular congregation for Mass.

The barbeque was set up in the small courtyard between the church and the Rectory, and was presided over by churchwarden Christopher Smith. Salads and drinks were served in the parish room.

Changes in the Church's calendar in 1969 moved the specific feast of the Precious Blood to June as part of Corpus Christi, but allow for a Votive Mass, and the parish celebrates the Feast of Title annually.
