The short answer as to why you should join the Ordinariate is that you believe that God is calling you to do so.
Because the Ordinariate is a part of the Catholic Church, belonging to it is first of all about belonging to Jesus Christ. But because the body of Christ has many members, so there are different expressions of the same faith.
The Ordinariate is one expression of the one Catholic faith, which is nourished in part by the sources of that faith which have been preserved and transmitted through the Anglican tradition.
For some, it might allow them to become Catholic whilst keeping hold of parts of the religious and devotional life which brought them to the Catholic Church in the first place.
Others may have had little or no religious background, but have heard and responded to the call of Christ through the witness and outreach of the Ordinariate.
The chief reason for belonging to the Ordinariate, as to any part of the Catholic Church, should be that it will, through the life of the sacraments, the preaching of the Word, and the encouragement of Christian fellowship, help you to love God more, and get to heaven in the end.
Anglicans and former Anglicans who reside in England, Wales and Scotland are eligible to seek to enter the full communion of the Catholic Church through the Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham.
Those eligible for membership also include anyone who has been baptised in the Catholic Church but who has not completed the Sacraments of Initiation and subsequently returns to the faith and practice of the Church as a result of the evangelising mission of the Ordinariate.
There are over 50 Ordinariate Missions spread around the country - from Stornoway and Inverness in the north to St Austell in the south-west and Folkestone in the south-east - and the Pastor of a local mission may well be the best first point of contact.
Enquiries from both Clergy and laity are always dealt with in the strictest confidence.
Enquiries from Anglicans and former Anglicans who reside in England, Wales and Scotland may also be made here, and a member of our team will be in touch.
Founded in 2011 at the invitation of Pope Benedict XVI, we are fully Catholic and retain our Anglican tradition.
